This site is designed to provide information and a jumping off point for people interested in space, space development, rockets, science fiction, space travel and the future. It's primarily focused on what's happening now, and what you can do to help make the future better than the present. Some of the things here are social, some are experimental, some are in the planning stages and some are just dreams, but they are all things that I think are worth sharing.

The name Luna City comes from a place in Robert Heinlein's book "The Moon Is A Harsh Mistress". If you've never read it, I'd recommend doing so. It inspires me to do more every time I re-read it.

It is the eventual goal of the SysAdmin to operate this site from the Moon. Yes, I know it'll take a while. I'm mostly patient. Besides, they say the bigger the dreamer the more inspiring the dream.

www.LunaCity.com used to operate as a proxy on rahul.net, the ISP that supplies the UUCP connection to the BBS. This has now changed.  The LunaCity web page is now under my direct control and will be updated on a regular basis to keep you informed of interesting events and opportunities in the space fields and others. Access to the BBS is still limited, but we eventually hope to provide more services, such as FTP, telnet, and full list server capabilities. Watch this space (pun intended) for announcements on availability.
